What is Deep Health?

Deep Health Coaching Model

Deep health is a holistic and multidimensional health model that encompasses various facets of an individual's well-being. It goes beyond the absence of disease and focuses on optimizing all health aspects to achieve vitality, resilience, and flourishing. It involves proactive efforts to improve one's quality of life, maintain balance, and cultivate a sense of purpose and fulfillment, ultimately promoting well-being far beneath the surface of physical health.

 

My job is to guide you through the process of understanding this concept in the context of your life and identifying supportive behaviors. From there, we create routines, systems, and the mindset to turn those behaviors into powerful habits that support your Deep Health. 

Existential - Involves exploring one's values, beliefs, and existential concerns, and striving to find a sense of fulfillment, authenticity, and inner peace in the face of life's uncertainties and the search for meaning.

 

Physical - focuses on the state of one's body, encompassing aspects like nutrition, fitness, and overall physical well-being. It involves adopting a holistic approach to maintain optimal physical health, which includes regular exercise, a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and preventive healthcare measures to ensure vitality and resilience.

 

Mental - refers to the state of our cognitive and psychological well-being, encompassing factors like focus, mental clarity, adaptability, and the capacity for critical thinking. It involves nurturing a sound and agile mind through learning, problem-solving, and mindfulness, ultimately contributing to mental harmony and resilience.

 

Emotional - Encompasses one's ability to understand, express, and manage our feelings in a balanced and constructive manner, fostering emotional resilience and well-being. It involves cultivating self-awareness, empathy, forgiveness, and compassion for others and ourselves for navigating life's challenges with emotional intelligence and positivity.

Environmental - Involves creating a harmonious and organized physical space, eliminating distractions, and ensuring a supportive environment that nurtures physical and mental well-being. It also involves assessing our relationship with technology so we may use it to support us in our goals, not keep us from them.

Relational - fosters empathy, communication skills, and a sense of belonging, ultimately contributing to a fulfilling and supportive social network that enhances overall well-being. Pertains to the quality of one's social connections and interactions, emphasizing the importance of nurturing meaningful relationships with self, family, friends, and the broader community.
